The reaching bull elephant Dande is Patrick's hallmark elephant. He first saw him in 1974 in the Dande communal lands, towering up on three legs to reach the tasty fruit high in a pod mahogany tree. Patrcick found this unforgettable silhouette to be full of symbolism and when he started to sculpt, years later it was his most powerful inspiration
