 | Heather O'Conner
Heather was born, and raised, in Brighton, England. In 1998 she moved to Buckinghamshire to complete a BA in Metalwork and Jewellery Design, followed in 2001 by an MA at the Royal College of Art, London. Having graduated from the RCA in 2003 (under the tutorship of Michael Rowe) she set up a small studio in South London where she continues to develop her practice.
Heather produces unique items of silverware and has expanded on her skills by introducing complementary ranges of jewellery and accessories for both men and women. She takes her influence from a number of sources, in particular garden design and architecture, exploring ideas of space, structure, boundaries and composition and often combines precious metal with structural materials such as wood or concrete to give her work a unique modern twist.
