Steve WagerSteve Wager

Steve Wager began silversmithing in a shed in the East End at the age of 12. He spent a short time with Michael Murray before undertaking a pre apprentice course at Sir John Cass School of Art and then taking a full apprenticeship with Algernon Asprey. On completion Asprey had amalgamated and Steve spent 25 years working as a craftsman for them. In 2002 he was made redundant and set up by himself, now working in Hatton Garden. His clients include the Royal Family and Sultans of Brunei and Oman. He has made and designed many trophies including the Cricket World Cup, Ryder Cup and for Ascot and polo matches.
