Hungerford is a picturesque country town, nestling in the Kennet Valley,
between Marlborough and Newbury on the main London to Bath Road, and
only 3 miles from Junction 14 of the M4 motorway. Hungerford has boasted
antique shops for centuries and the town, steeped in history, is still
a haven for antiques today.
There are many general and specialist antique shops and dealers, two
antique centres and antique fairs are regularly hosted in the town.
Hungerford therefore offers an extensive selection of furniture, silver,
clocks, works of art and all manner of collectables, covering may
periods.
Being a historic town, there are many interesting sights not to be
missed. Some of the architecture is most important and a great number
of original buildings and ancient traditions remain.
