Another dimension to the creation of these cups stems from my time spent at the Goldsmiths' Company in London in 2014. There, I encountered numerous punch tools left behind by the closing goldsmith company. Their craftsmanship was awe-inspiring, and I marvelled at the amount of work it would have taken to make those tools. Selecting some favourites, I experimented with them on small copper sheets, discovering that this traditional approach could produce intricate patterns resembling scattered seeds on the surface.
