Prince of  Wales Crest engraved to front. Engraved to rear:   For Hans - with profound gratitude for your remarkable generosity and helping to save a unique house for the nation, Charles June 2007.

The Prince of Wales and a consortium endeavored to save Dumfries House in Ayrshire, for the nation.  The Palladian House contains one of the most important collections of Chippendale furniture and works of art. After considerable fund raising the house was saved.
