Heavy gauge, beautifully hand raised and hand engraved - weight engraved to base

Albert George Brooker registered his mark in 1945, AGB in a rectangle - not to be confused with that of Gerald Benney's mark, AGB in 3 circles. Brooker mainly produced ecclesiastical work and taught at the Central School of Arts and Crafts. A very fine craftsman.

Aphrodite - the ancient Greek goddess of love, lust and pleasure whose symbols include swans and doves.
