Adrian Hope
ADRIAN HOPE likes his work to be, for want of a better word, friendly. The reason for using silver at all is because it is a wonderful, forgiving, pliable material that can be manipulated with complete sympathy. He wants the owners and users of his work to enjoy it, so it has to be direct and approachable and tactile. 'Preciousness is a hindrance; usefulness a happy bonus'. Adrian has got many pieces in public collections including: Royal Scottish Museums, City of Bristol Museum, City of Aberdeen Museum, City Of Birmingham Museum, and Goldsmiths Company.
