The beaker is completely hand made from one piece of thick Britannia standard silver. Britannia silver has a greater purity than sterling silver (95.8% rather than 92.5%) and has special hallmarks which is fitting for a special piece of silver. The beaker has beautiful mirror polishing on the inside and outside, and has a rich gold lining on the interior to disguise stains. The plain body is perfect for engraving to further personalise this gift.
