DAVID MELLOR had graduated from the RCA in 1954 and was appointed a design consultant for WALKER & HALL. Professor ROBERT GOODEN, Head of Silver & Jewellery at the Royal College of Art who had taught MELLOR, considered this appointment as the highlight of the mid 1950's.

 Mellor designed the award winning 'Pride' teaset for Walker & Hall who mass produced it in silver plate, but silver examples rarely turn up.
