This design was originally made up by Gerald with Tom Boucher (1897-1988) the Royal College of Arts resident craftsman in 1952. There are examples of this design in the Victoria & Albert Museum (made in 1957) and the Goldsmiths' Company collection (1959). This one is an early example hand made by Gerald in 1956
