He assisted Bernard Cuzner make the Olympic Torch that Cuzner had designed for the 1948 London Olympic Games. A fine craftsman he received commissions from Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge Universities; Civic Plate for Birmingham and in 1965 made an architectural model of the Birmingham Post & Mail Bulding for its opening. His workshop was demolished in the late 1980's to make way for the Birmingham Symphony Hall and he retired to Willersley, Worcestershire where he was still working in 2009.
