We asked Keith Tyssen about this caddy spoon in 2016 and this was his reply:

"Yes I do recall producing a small number of castings possibly 25 in total and as an addition to my small range of pieces for inclusion in S.O.R. Shop outlets and in group exhibitions, Crafts Council etc.
How this piece came about !  I first made a 'master model' by modelling/carving in wax (pink Dental wax) to produce a wax version of my 'idea' for a Caddy Spoon. This 'original' wax was then Cast into silver using the 'lost wax pro-cess' and the resulting silver carefully hand-finished and polished to serve as a 'Master Pattern' ..... and the process continued to the Next Stage !
The next stage (or 2nd Stage) being to use this 'Master Pattern' from which a vulcanised-rubber mould was now made and from this flexible rubber mould a small series of waxes were produced and each wax in turn was then cast into silver, each casting being carefully surface-finished, Hall-marked and polished. By this protracted series of processes .... your Caddy Spoon came into existence and it is the product of this two-stage lost-wax casting process."
