Born in Japan in 1979 - worked with Hiroshi Suzuki in Japan 2010-12. Academic research position at Glasgow School of Art 2012 & artist in residence there 2013-14 & visiting lecturer 2015. At this time he lived near a forest in Scotland and drew inspiration from there.

2015 awarded a Goldsmiths' Company Master Craftsman internship and spent time with Malcolm Appleby.

2016 moved to north west Wales where he worked with Junko Mori for a year, where he now lives and works.

2017 box making course with Ray Walton followed by chasing course with Rod Kelly the following year.

His work can already be found in the collections of the Goldsmiths' Company,  Clothworkers' Company and New College Oxford.
