With presentation plaque: 'Unilever Farewell 8 July 1997 Crosfeld Rigby's Hex by Roger Millar Glasgow'Roger Millar was born in Glasgow in 1942 and studied at Glasgow School of Art and the Royal College of Art. Most of his life has been spent as an educator in Wales, USA, Dundee, taking over from Bernard Harrington as Head and the same position at the Glasgow School of Art 1984-2005. In recognition of his significant contribution to education in design and craft, he was awarded, in 1999, an Honorary Professorship of the University of Glasgow at the Glasgow School of Art.In 1984 he also set up his own studio in Glasgow and has received many private commissions including those from the Queen, Duke of Edinburgh and the Bute House Silver Collection.
