Thi have been made by Wakely & Wheeler for George Tarratt of Leicester. A E Pittman (Bertie) was a partner of Arthur Wakely in the firm of Wakely & Wheeler from the 1930's and he produced some excellent designs for them. The family owned W&W until Padgett & Braham bought it in 1958. Presumeably M E Pittman was his son? A fine classic early 1950's design.
