The small orchestra numbers only seven and it is they who form the stem of the goblet made for the Seventh centenary. As in the Choir itself, Lincoln's assertive imp is not overlooked: the Goblet's angelic trumpeter contends with his distracting presence at his feet.
The Dean presented the first of these goblets to the Queen when she visited the Cathedral for the Seventh Centenary service
