GEORGE EDWARD GRANT was born in 1935 and studied at the Central School of Art before being apprenticed to Leslie Durbin. He later worked for Michael Murray before setting up a workshop in Rosebery Avenue in 1959. He later moved to Chelmsford where he also taught. A fine craftsman and if other silversmiths had any problems they would go to George for him to 'sort it'.
